How the Aira Chrome extension works

Open Aira's company panel in Chrome's side panel, pick the company behind the website you are on, and add it to your portfolio.

The Aira Chrome extension puts Aira's company panel in Chrome's side panel, one click from the page you are already on. You are on a company's website and you want to know what Aira knows: instead of opening a tab and searching, you click the Aira button and the panel opens beside the page with that company's financials, top signal, recent news, people, ownership, similar companies and official filings.

Reading the panel is free and costs nothing against any quota, so open it as often as you like: adding a company to your portfolio is the only thing in the panel that meters.

Install it from the Chrome Web Store

  • Open Aira: company insights while you browse on the Chrome Web Store and choose Add to Chrome.

  • Pin the Aira button to your toolbar, so the panel is one click away.

  • Click the button on any page to open the side panel.

There is nothing new to sign into. The panel uses the Aira session you already have in this browser, and answers in whichever organisation that session is active in, which is named in the panel header. If you are signed out, the panel says so and gives you a button that opens Aira.

Pick the company you mean

Click the Aira button on a company's website. A website address usually cannot identify one company with certainty, because a holding company, the operating company and a subsidiary often sit behind one domain. So the panel normally shows you a shortlist and you pick the one you mean. That is the main path, not a failure, and the panel says as much: Aira cannot tell these apart from the address alone. Pick the one you mean.

Each row carries the facts that tell the candidates apart: name, city, country, status, revenue and headcount. The row whose registered website is the one you are on is marked Registered website. Pick a row and the panel opens that company, with Back to search to return to the list. When the page prints an organisation number, or the company name matches strongly, the panel skips the list and opens the company straight away.

What the panel shows

Financials with a multi-year revenue and profit chart, the top signal, recent news, the people and their roles, the ownership group you can click into to walk up the tree, similar companies, and official filings for Sweden and Norway.

Add to portfolio sits at the top and on every similar-company row, so a good account you found three clicks deep goes into your portfolio without leaving the panel. Your portfolio quota applies exactly as it does everywhere else in Aira.

What the extension reads

A line in the panel footer says it on every screen: Aira reads this page's address, plus the organisation number on supported company registries. It does not read the words on the page, and Aira keeps no record of the pages you visit. Beside that line, Read the notice opens the Aira browser extension privacy notice, which is the full account of what the extension handles.
