Choose which contacts Aira adds to Salesforce

Turn on contact sync, choose which people qualify, and control how their fields are written.

Contact sync lets Aira add people to Salesforce for you, and keep a set of their fields filled in. It is off by default. Turn it on and you choose which roles qualify, who Aira should add regardless of role, how many people it may add per company, and how each field is written.

Open contact sync

In Aira on desktop, click your name in the bottom left corner, open the Integrations tab, and on the Salesforce row click Manage. On the Salesforce page, choose Contact sync.

The switch in the top right turns contact sync on. Until you turn it on, Aira adds nobody to Salesforce.

The Salesforce contact sync page in Aira settings. Who qualifies lists leadership, board and ownership roles with checkboxes, followed by minimum seniority, max people per company and include website team. Below, Contact fields lists first name, last name, email, phone and job title, each with a write condition and an on/off switch.

Choose who qualifies

Who qualifies lists the roles Aira recognises, in three groups:

  • Leadership: CEO, vice and deputy CEO, C-suite (CFO, COO, CTO), and general managers and directors.

  • Board: chairman, vice chairman, board members, deputy board members, and board observers.

  • Ownership: owners and founders.

Tick every role you want in Salesforce. Anyone holding one of the roles you tick qualifies for automatic sync.

Add everyone above a seniority level

Minimum seniority adds people, it does not filter them out. Aira also syncs anyone at or above the level you set, whether or not you ticked their role.

The levels run from anyone including deputies and auditors, through board member or manager and above, director or vice chairman and above, chairman and above, and C-suite, owner or founder and above, up to CEO only. The first option in the list switches the rule off, so Aira syncs on your ticked roles alone.

Cap how many people per company

Max people per company is the ceiling. Aira adds at most this many people for any one company.

Include the website team

With Include website team off, Aira syncs only the people it holds in official company records. Turn it on to also sync the people listed on the company's own website.

Choose how contact fields are written

Contact fields lists what Aira can write: First name, Last name, Email, Phone, and Job title. Each row has a switch and a write condition.

The write condition applies only to a contact that already exists in Salesforce. A contact Aira creates always gets every field you have switched on.

  • If empty: Aira fills the field only when it is blank, so it never overwrites a value your team entered.

  • Always overwrite: Aira keeps the field at its own value.

  • Only when creating: Aira sets the field when it creates the contact, and leaves it alone afterwards.

Switch off any field Aira should leave alone.

When contact sync runs

Aira includes qualifying people in the next company push to Salesforce, and in a nightly reconciliation push.

Company fields are separate

Contact sync covers people only. The company fields Aira writes are controlled on the field mapping page. See Choose which fields Aira writes to Salesforce.
